Day 1 : Bangalore - Coorg | 252Km | 5.5Hrs

On arrival our Tripdoers travel executive will greet you at the Airport Lounge or Railway station. Then proceed for Coorg, India’ coffee bowl. Picturesquely located in Karnataka, this small district is a major tourist attraction. Connected by neither trains nor planes, driving down from Mysore is the only option to reach this lovely piece of land. Unique is the location and unique and hospitable are its people. The coorgi wedding is something one has to experience. For those who love to be in the lap of nature, Coorg it should be. Bhagamandala is located at Coorg and is supposed to be a centre of pilgrimage. It is on the river Kaveri and is joined by its two tributaries at this location. Visitors usually take a dip in the river at this place and perform rituals for their ancestors.

After Breakfast Proceed to Coorg Sightseeing. Situated at Coorg between coffee plantations and spice gardens, Abbi Falls is another major tourist spot in Karnataka. A hanging bridge from where visitors gape at the falls, adds excitement to the location. Far from the madding crowd is another tourist attraction in the form of Bylakuppe Golden temple, a home for Tibetan Buddhist monks. A serene atmosphere, large statues of Buddha, colorful paintings and decors on the wall and a decorated altar make it different. If you get thrilled at Elephants splashing loads of water and taking bath, Dubare Elephant Camp is the place to be in. It is adventure, fun and pleasure all packed into one.

After breakfast proceed to Bekal .A place of high tourist importance, Bekal in Kasargod on the northern tip of Kerala defies comprehension. The Bekal Fort, the largest in Kerala, is an architectural wonder, probably built in the sea. It is spread over 40 acres and offers some certain specialties like the water tank on top with its flight of steps, the tunnel opening towards south, an ammunition dump and broad steps that lead to the observation tower. The long coastline, pristine beaches, stretches of greenery of coconut gardens and hill stations, the estuaries and backwaters, the Lake Temple and many rare art forms like Theyyam make Bekal a tourist hot spot. For the nature loving traveler, there wouldn’t be a more perfect setting to admire its charm and enjoy a vacation.

The whole day is at leisure. Go for Kayaking and Canoeing down the Nombili River amidst lush greenery & placid backwaters. You can also opt for Thonikadavu trekking point. Fall in love with this place the moment you see it. Thonikadavu offers the frills of real thrill while trekking, amidst lush green vegetation, small springs and the aroma of spices. The renowned Bekal forest is located close to this trek. The top of the hill that culminates the trek offers a treat for the eyes in terms of natural landscapes and vegetation. Other outdoor activities include Fishing, Nature Walk, Badminton, Beach Football, and Beach Walk.

After Breakfast proceed to Kabini. Kabini is a popular wild life destination in Karnataka. Lush green landscapes, a large lake and the sight of elephant herds makes Kabini Special to any tourist. Immerse into the tune of nature, hear the splashing yet whispering sound of river Kabini, recline in comfort at a riverside resort or just idle around watching nature play with animals and birds. Kabini has got other names as well Kabani and Kapila famous river in southern India. It will not take you too long to understand that nature always beckons you, sometime, somewhere. After Breakfast proceed for Kabini sightseeing. You can enjoy the beauty of Kabini by roaming inside the resort and if you are interested you can go for local sightseeing. Banasura sagar Dam the largest earth dam in India and located on the Kabini River. The dam’s reservoir has to its credit a set of islands with the Banasura hills in the background that offer breathtaking scenic views. Irpu falls is a tourist attraction cum pilgrimage centre, located in Coorg district of Karnataka. It is a fresh water cascade and makes visitors gape in admiration when in full flow. This is also treated as a cleansing spot by visitors during Shivarathri, the birthday of Lord Shiva. Later visit Brahmagiri Sanctuary located at Coorg in Karnataka, this sanctuary derives its name from the Brahmagiri peak.
